EXPERIENCE MORE TO OFFER, NFP
Working Towards a Brighter Future
ABOUT
A Bit of Background
Here at More to Offer, NFP, we are driven by a single goal; to do our part in improving the quality of life in urban communities. We strive to reduce the cycle of poverty in high needs and resource insecure communities that some residents have become accustomed to believing is a normal way of life.Â
More to Offer, NFP's  sole purpose is to provide an ongoing connection between residents of high needs neighborhoods and vital resources. Our vision is to improve the mental health and wellness of community residents. Â
We are committed to supporting our  residents through community outreach, education, social justice, and mentoring programs to help them overcome challenges and positively impact the community at large.

We are currently developing exciting projects to help improve the lives of others, and are very proud of the progress we continue to make. We will continue to maintain ongoing partnerships with individuals, families, schools, businesses, not for profit organizations, community and faith based organizations. Our participants will benefit from programs and resources created to help develop the values and skills required to overcome the personal and social issues that challenge their everyday lives. MENTORING
Building Impactful Connections
At More to Offer, NFP, we are dedicated to building collaborative partnerships between our mentors and mentees. We believe we can facilitate progress in this area by pairing community members with with leaders in their respective fields. With this initiative, our goal is to promote great opportunities for job and career development.  With access to the right resources, our mentees can become empowered by their own abilities and gain the confidence to fulfill their potential.
SOCIAL JUSTICE
Hunger and Food Insecurity
According to Feed America’s Map the Meal Gap Study, one in seven people in Cook County will experience food insecurity this year. Hunger and food insecurity continues to plague our community and there has been a significant uptick during this pandemic. As families increasingly rely on food banks and community food pantries in Chicago, we remain dedicated to addressing the hunger and food insecurity issues many families experienced prior to the pandemic. We will work diligently with community partners to identify resources and advocate for access to healthy food options in high needs communities.
EDUCATION SERVICES
Tutoring and Diverse Learners Support
We believe students need appropriate resources and support for positive academic growth and social development. We are dedicated to doing so by meeting students where they are. Our education services are available to students virtually or in-person during after school hours and on Saturdays.
COMMUNITY OUTREACH
Painting on Polk
At More to Offer, NFP, we are dedicated to stepping up our efforts in planning events to increase community engagement. We understand there are challenges during these unprecedented times, but through cooperation and strict adherence to CDC guidelines and PPE, we believe we can facilitate progress in this area. We are preparing to introduce Painting on Polk, a weekly event held outdoors during the warmer spring and summer months. This event will give community residents of all ages access to a safe, fun and engaging activity.
